CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Southern Utah University volleyball team will be traveling to Flagstaff, Arizona to play the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Sunday February 28 and Monday March 1.
Last Time Out
The Thunderbirds went 2-0 last week during the Portland State series at home. The first match was won in four sets with only the second set going to the Vikings. The first match was a three set sweep by the Thunderbirds.
SUU is now at an improved 4-5 overall and 4-4 in Big Sky play. The T-Birds sit at sixth in conference play.
Andreanna McKee totaled 20 kills over the course of the two last matches with Stacey Hone posting 19. Raegen Ashby had 18 kills and 9 blocks.
Elisa Lago sits in third for service aces in the Big Sky with 30 averaging .53 a set.
Scouting Report: Northern Arizona Lumberjacks
The Lumberjacks of Northern Arizona have a Big Sky record of 6-2. Their last series was set to be against the Idaho Vandals but was canceled due to COVID-19 protocols. Before that they played Eastern Washington winning both matches. They posted a season-best 10 blocks in the second match.
Taylor Jacobsen leads the Lumberjacks in kills with 128 averaging 4.13 per set. Jacobsen totaled 16 kills in their last game against the Eagles. Defensively, Millie O'Ketter leads in digs with 101 this season averaging 3.26 per set and Neche Newton has 26 blocks averaging .84 a set.Â
Ken Murphy has been the head coach of the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks volleyball team for eight years.

Sunday's match is set to begin at 2 p.m. MT and Monday's will be at 6 p.m. MT.
