CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Southern Utah University Thunderbirds will continue with Big Sky play hosting Montana on Sunday February 7 and Monday February 8.

Last Time Out

After a weekend on the road, the Thunderbirds returned from the University of Idaho with a four set loss in the first match and a three set loss in the second in their first two matches of conference play. 

SUU is now 0-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play. Within conference standings the T-Birds sit in tenth place.

Andreanna Mckee leads the team offensively with 30 kills averaging 3.00 per set. Corrin Peterson leads the Big Sky in assists with 76, averaging 10.86 per set. Defensively, Sarah Gasper has posted the most digs with 30 this season, 3.00 per set.

Scouting Report: Montana Grizzlies 

The Grizzlies of Montana have a Big Sky record of 1-3. Their last series was against Weber State at home and were swept in 3 sets in the first match. The second match went to 4 sets with Weber claiming the match.

Amethyst Harper leads Montana's offense with 51 kills this season and averaging 3.40 per set. Harper and Sophia Meyers led the team in kills against Weber in last week's play each posting 12. Setter Carly Anderson has 124 sets, averaging 8.27 per set. Sarina Moreno leads the team in digs with 59, average of 3.93 per set. 

Head coach Allison Lawrence is on her 4th season as head coach and her 11th season overall with the Montana volleyball program.

Game Day Information

Sunday's match is set to begin at 1 p.m. MT, and Monday's is set to start at 6 p.m. MT.
