LOGAN, Utah - The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference has announced the winners of their weekly awards for week eight and Southern Utah's Morgan Alfaro was named MRGC Vault Specialist of the Week.

Morgan Alfaro hit a season-high 9.900 on vault against Boise State Saturday night and took home the vault event title. The senior is currently the top vaulter in the conference with a NQS of 9.869 and an average score of 9.841. She is also ranked 37th in the country on the event.

Alfaro and the Flippin' Birds will travel to Denver this Sunday for a tri-meet with No. 13 Denver and No. 20 Utah State.
