LOGAN, Utah - The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference has announced the winners of their weekly awards for week ten and for the third time this season Southern Utah's Morgan Alfaro was named MRGC Vault Specialist of the Week.
Alfaro hit a 9.900 for the second time this season in the Flippin' Birds' tri-meet win over Arizona and Air Force. She won her sixth vault event title of the season at the meet.
The senior is tied at the top of the MRGC on the event with a NQS of 9.881 and an average score of 9.830. She is also ranked 43rd in the entire NCAA on the event.
Alfaro and the Flippin' Birds will compete at the MRGC Championship Meet this weekend in Logan.
