FARMINGTON, Utah - The Big Sky Conference has announced the winners of Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the week of September 20 and Southern Utah's Alison Pray has been named Women's Athlete of the Week.

Pray finished in second place at the Florida State XC Open last weekend with a time of 20:20.3, putting her ahead of four runners from last year's national champions BYU.

Her performance helped the Thunderbirds to a fourth place finish at the meet, upsetting No.3-ranked Stanford in the process.

This is Pray's first career Athlete of the Week honor and the first of the season for the Thunderbirds as a program.

Both the Southern Utah men's and the women's teams will be back in action next weekend at the Notre Dame Joe Piane Invitational on October 1.
