CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Southern Utah University women's soccer team and head coach Kai Edwards are excited to announce the addition of Angie Knies to the team in 2023.
Angie Knies, Midfielder/Defender, 5'8", Ely, Iowa.
Knies joins the Thunderbirds in January after playing midfielder and defender for three seasons at Western Illinois. Knies saw great success during her time with the Leathernecks last season, finishing second on the team in total points (7), including a match where she recorded two goals against St. Thomas.
During her prep career, Knies led her high school to its most successful season of all time, finishing the year with a 14-2 record.

"We are excited to add an experienced college player. Angie has started every game of her college career for three years. She will bring toughness, versatility and a competitive spirit to this team this spring. Having Angie this January will help her acclimate to the team and be ready to compete for the Thunderbirds."
