CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Southern Utah Men's Basketball team had three members make all-conference teams this season. John Knight III was selected as a member of the All-Big Sky First-Team, while Tevian Jones and Maizen Fausett were both named Third Team All-Conference.
Knight III had an unbelievable season for the T-Birds, leading the conference in steals (2.1), while ranking 4th in assists (4.2), 10th in scoring (14.6), and shooting the second highest percentage from the field at 52.6. Knight III also reached the 1,000-point scoring mark for his career at SUU this season. He currently sits at 8th in program history for scoring with 1,158 points.Â
Jones had a strong senior season for SUU, scoring 14.8 points per game, good for 9th best in the Big Sky. Jones managed to score in double figures in 21 out of his 28 appearances this season, including a stretch of 13 consecutive games midway through the year. He set two season-highs in the win over Portland State with 36 points and 10 rebounds.
Fausett pulled down the 4th most rebounds per game in the Big Sky at 8.2, while also putting up 12.1 points per game. Fausett tallied six double-doubles this season and shot 48.5 percent from the field on his way to a third-team selection.
All three Thunderbirds are receiving All-Conference recognition for the second consecutive season.
