KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The United Soccer Coaches announced their team academic awards Thursday for the 2021-22 academic year, and the Southern Utah University women's soccer team was one of 382 women's soccer teams in the country to earn a team academic award for their exceptional work in the classroom.
"Success off of the field is just as important as success on the field within our program, and winning this award is evidence of the effort and dedication that our players have put towards excelling in the classroom," said SUU Head Coach Kai Edwards.
For a team to be considered for the distinguished award, it must have a composite team grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for all team members who appeared on the official roster form for the fall season. All players on the roster must be included in the calculation of the team GPA.
