CEDAR CITY, Utah– The Southern Utah University Track and Field program has announced its 2023 outdoor schedule, consisting of eleven regular season meets, including its first home meet since 2012- the SUU Thunderbird Collegiate Invitational. 

The 2023 schedule has six meets in Utah and five in California before the Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships in Nacogdoches, Texas, on May 11-13. 

Southern Utah will head down I-15 to kick off their outdoor season this weekend at Utah Tech Invite in Greater Zion Stadium on Mar 10-11. 

After nearly a week off, the Thunderbirds will travel to Utah Valley to compete in the UVU Spring Invite on Mar 23-24 before heading to Stanford on Friday, Mar. 31, and Saturday, April 1. 

SUU will then embark on two busy weeks, which include six separate meets. 

They start by heading to the Utah State Aggie Invitational and the Utah Spring Classic on April 7-8. 

The T-Birds then follow with a chaotic four-meet weekend, where they travel to Walnut, California, to participate in the Bryan Clay Invite and the Mt. SAC Relays. They will also head to Long Beach, California, to compete in the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate and Beach Invite. This will all take place April 13-15.  

Southern Utah returns to Utah for the BYU Robison Invite on April 19-22, followed by their final regular season meet in Cedar City, the SUU Thunderbird Collegiate Classic on May 3. 

The WAC outdoor championships will take place on the campus of Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas, on May 11-13, and the NCAA West Prelims will be in Sacramento.
