SYDNEY - The Southern Utah University women's basketball team battled against the prestigious Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence (CoE) in the final game of its foreign tour, falling in a close contest 79-76.

"We've played some terrific competition. It's been a great learning experience for us as a team. To be able to play some games this early, especially for our new additions, has been extremely valuable. I've loved watching this team spend time together and make memories of a lifetime. It's just been an absolutely remarkable experience."

Ava Uhrich had an impressive performance with seven points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 20 minutes of action.

The Thunderbirds won the battle of the boards, grabbing 47 rebounds compared to CoE's 33 boards.
