CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The Western Athletic Conference announced their season award winners, and Thunderbird freshman Chelsea Loeser was honored with a spot on the All-WAC Freshman team.

Head Coach Kai Edwards said

"Chelsea developed through the year and really grew during conference play. She has the ability to dominate games and we look forward to seeing more of that throughout her career here."

Loeser scored two goals on the year but had multiple unbelievable shots that hit the crossbar and the posts on some incredible free kicks.

She trailed only Whitney Gardner in total shots with 33 and in shots on goal with 15.

Loeser played in all 17 games for SUU, including starting in 16 matches. Both of her goals on the year were highlight-worthy, and she has a bright future with the Thunderbirds.

Chelsea said

"I am so grateful to receive this honor and be a part of the All-Freshman team. I appreciate the SUU program, staff, and players and look forward to continuing the journey here at SUU."
