CEDAR CITY, Utah – Southern Utah Volleyball's Victoria Zibecchi, Arianna Rossi, and Carissa Richie have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, recognizing their standout performances both on the court and in the classroom.
Head Coach Kacey Nady Said
"These honors are well-deserved. Ari, Carissa, and Vicky bring it every day—on the court and in the classroom. They do a great job giving their very best on a daily basis, and as a student-athlete, that's no easy feat."
The trio played key roles for the Thunderbirds this season, putting up impressive numbers while maintaining excellence in the classroom.
Zibecchi, a force on offense, finished the season with 201 kills and 226.5 total points over 85 sets. She averaged 2.66 points per set and hit at a solid .207 clip while also contributing 31 blocks defensively.
On the defensive end, Rossi anchored the back row with a team-leading 320 digs, averaging 3.30 digs per set. She also chipped in 15 service aces, making her a reliable all-around contributor.
In the middle, Richie dominated at the net, posting a team-best 84 total blocks (0.97 per set), including 20 solo blocks. She also added 199 points on offense with an efficient .273 hitting percentage, making her a threat on both sides of the ball.
The CSC Academic All-District Team honors student-athletes who excel academically while delivering standout performances in competition. With this recognition, Zibecchi, Rossi, and Richie are now eligible for the CSC Academic All-America Team, which will be announced later this year.
