CEDAR CITY, Utah—Former Southern Utah standout wide receiver Isaiah Wooden has signed a free-agent contract with the Atlanta Falcons. The recent graduate from San Diego will join the team this summer and look to grab a roster spot.

Wooden, who played two seasons for Southern Utah, became a hit with the Thunderbirds right away. He scored two touchdowns in his first game at Eccles Coliseum. He finished his junior season with eight touchdowns and just over 1,000 total yards.

In his second season for the T-Birds, Wooden grabbed an incredible 61 receptions for 904 yards. He added 34 rushing yards to that total throughout the season. Wooden posted an outstanding 14 touchdowns this past season. In his most iconic performance on the road at Stephen F. Austin, Wooden caught five passes for 123 yards and a record four touchdowns.
