CEDAR CITY, Utah - After his impressive performance for the Southern Utah men's cross country team at the Bronco Invitational in Santa Clara, Calif., junior Logan Peel has been selected as the WAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
Peel finished seventh out of 180 athletes with an outstanding personal best 8K time of 23:55.7. His finish also propelled the Southern Utah Thunderbirds to a first-place victory in a crowded field of 18 teams.
The recognition follows a strong 2025 campaign for Peel. He finished first for the Thunderbirds in both the UVU Invitational, where he logged a 14:28.3 three-mile for third place, and the Color Country Invitational, where he recorded a 19:22.9 6K for fifth.
