CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- Southern Utah Administration and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted a community event called Thor's Family Ball on Saturday, February 22, and had a fantastic turnout from other student-athletes and some community members.
The event was held in the Great Hall at the Hunter Alumni Center, where food and drink were provided and many activities for the attendees to participate in.

Associate Athletic Director Dr. Cedric Brown said
"A great opportunity for our student-athletes to host an event where our Cedar City community and our campus community can come together and celebrate family."
Multiple Southern Utah University athletics teams were present, including gymnastics, men's basketball, and women's golf, to name a few.
It is a unique opportunity for the community to engage with the student-athletes on campus and is a cherished event in the department.
Senior Gymnast Taylor Gull and SAAC Executive Board Member said
"Thor's family ball is a great opportunity for student athletes to get to interact with each other and people in the community. This year we had much smaller attendance than in years past but we hope to grow this event again in the future! So many people worked hard to get this event together in a short amount of time and a huge thank you to those that came and supported the event!"

Track and Field athlete Jared Sharp who is the SAAC President said
"It was a fun activity with food, fellowship and fun where SUU athletics and the community got to interact."
