CEDAR CITY, Utah – Southern Utah University has officially announced the 2025–26 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) schedules for both the men's and women's basketball programs. This season marks the Thunderbirds' final year competing in the WAC, setting up an exciting slate of matchups as the Thunderbirds look to close out their conference chapter on a high note.
The women's team tips off WAC play at home on December 29 against in-state rival Utah Tech. Other marquee home games include matchups with Utah Valley (Jan. 8), California Baptist (Jan. 10), and UT Arlington (Jan. 29 and Feb. 14). The team will also face a challenging stretch on the road in January and February, including games at UT Arlington (Jan. 3), Tarleton State (Jan. 15), and Abilene Christian (Jan. 17).

"The team is putting in tremendous work this summer, and we are excited for the upcoming conference season. Our schedule has some challenging road trips and some great home stints. I know this group will be ready to go."
The men's basketball team opens its conference campaign on the road at Utah Tech on December 29, before returning home for contests against UT Arlington (Jan. 3), Tarleton State (Jan. 15), and Abilene Christian (Jan. 17). The Thunderbirds will host Utah Valley (Mar. 5) and California Baptist (Mar. 7) to close out regular-season play in the America First Event Center.

"This season means a lot to our program, not just because it's our final run in the WAC, but because of the goals we have for our program. We're focused on competing every night, representing Southern Utah the right way, and making this last chapter one to remember."
Both squads will face each WAC opponent three times throughout the season, offering fans a competitive and meaningful farewell tour across the league.
