CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- The SUU Women's Golf team will stay in the state of Utah for their second tournament of the 2025-26 season. The Utah Shootout will be held at the Wolf Creek Resort Golf Course in Eden, Utah, on September 14-15. The tournament is hosted by Weber State.

Head Coach Caylyn McKinlay said

"We're excited to head to our second event of the fall, hosted by Weber State University. This time, the entire team will be traveling and getting the chance to compete, which is an incredible opportunity for everyone to grow, represent our program, and build momentum for the rest of the season. The entire season is about preparation and every event is a step toward figuring out who our top five will be for the WAC Championships at the end of April. I'm excited for all of the ladies to compete and for them to show what they've got.

Format: 36-holes over two days of play. Shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. on both days

Luangnam is coming off a top-20 finish last time out at the Wolverine Invitational. Firing rounds of 69, 75, and 73 to finish at +1 for the tournament. Junior transfer Brooklynn Maes had a quality final round of even-par 72 that led her to a T24 finish at +5 overall.

Reece Bandemer had a great first 36 holes, carding rounds of 73 and 74. Kirsten Hall had a great second round, turning in a 74 to help the Thunderbirds. 

The team finished eighth overall at +34 for the tournament.
