CEDAR CITY, UTAH -- Senior forward Jaiden Feroah earned the WAC Newcomer of the Week honor after two dominant performances last week against Utah Valley and Utah Tech.
Feroah averaged 26.5 points and 11.5 rebounds on 74% from the field and 71% from three.
Head Coach Rob Jeter said
"I am super proud of Jaiden. He works really hard and it is good to see him finally get some recognition."
In a win over top-ranked Utah Valley on January 21, Feroah led the Thunderbirds with 18 points on 7-11 from the field and an unbelievable 4-5 from deep. He also tacked on 11 rebounds and dished five assists to go along with a steal and a block.
In that game, Utah Valley made a run and cut the game to five points with time winding down, and Jaiden Feroah stepped up and hit a massive corner three that proved to be the final nail in the coffin and secured the win.
In the close loss at Utah Tech just two days later, Feroah went off for a career-high in points. He led all players in the game with 35 points and only three missed shots. He was 13-16 from the field and 1-2 from deep. He also led the team with 12 rebounds.
Feroah has now had three-straight double-doubles and is leading the team in both points (13.9), rebounds (7.0), and blocks (40).
