Marc Benjamin "Benji" is set to enter his third season as an assistant coach Southern Utah University.

Head coach Kyle Magnusson and Benjamin have already worked together in the past, playing together on the Larry H. Miller men's fast pitch for five years.  Benjamin also played men's fast pitch internationally with stints in New Zealand and Australia.

Benjamin honed his skills on the diamond as a baseball player in college, playing second base at the University of Utah after a pair of all-conference seasons at Cerritos Junior College.  At Utah, Benjamin carried a .317 average from the plate with nine doubles, two triples, three home runs and 55 RBI.  During his senior season he finished in the top ten of the Western Athletic Conference with 15 stolen bases, totaling 29 in his career.  Benjamin graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in political science in 1994.

Baseball and softball runs in the family for Benjamin as his brother, Mike, played 13 years in the major leagues, spending time in the Giants, Phillies, Red Sox and Pirates organizations.
