Prep: Prepped at Pine View HS, competing in the mile (5:19), two-mile (11:21) and three-mile run (18:59) ... placed first at region in the two-mile and second in both the one- and three-mile runs ... earned a place on the first team for Utah Cross Country in 2011 and on the second team in 2012 ...  served as team captain for cross country and track and field ... lettered four times each in cross country and track and field ... earned academic all-state in 2010 and 2012.

Personal: Parents are Patricia Stone and Daniel Stone, Jr. ... majoring in outdoor recreation ... graduated from high school in the top five percent of class.
