Adam Longmore will enter his sixth year as an assistant coach with Southern Utah University women’s volleyball after a five-year stint at William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri.

Longmore has helped to build the volleyball program at SUU after its return to campus in 2008, assisting in all aspects including player development, implementation of team systems, planning and running practice sessions, leadership training, purchasing and tracking of inventory, scheduling, travel, video exchange, statistical analysis, scouting and developing game plans and recruiting.

Under Longmore's tutelage Southern Utah has established itself as one of the top blocking teams in the nation, as the Thunderbirds have improved in blocking each year during his tenure.  The team was particularly strong in Summit League matches in 2010, ranking second in the conference in blocks and first in opponent hitting percentages en route to the program's first berth in the Summit League tournament.

Southern Utah's block was even better in its first season of Big Sky play in 2012, ranking second in the league. Nationally, the Thunderbirds finished tied for 27th, averaging 2.64 blocks per set. In addition, SUU senior Cashaana Renfro was second individually in the conference and ranked in the top 50 in the nation.

While at WWU, Longmore served as the head coach from 2004-2007, overseeing all aspects of the volleyball program. Prior to leading the program, Longmore served as an assistant coach with the program from 2003-2004. Longmore also earned a Master’s degree in athletic administration from William Woods University in 2007.

Longmore has worked with Gold Medal Squared as a volleyball camp instructor since the summer of 2000, working with coaches, high school and club teams in clinics throughout the United States.

Longmore earned a Bachelor’s degree from Utah State University, where he coached the USU men’s club team from October 2002 - April 2003, helping the team to as high as No. 3 in the nation. Longmore also played on the team as an outside hitter from 2000-2002 and served as team captain during his second year.

Longmore and his wife, Jenny have three children: daughter, Odessa and sons, Addison and Elijah.
