Camber Dodson joined the Southern Utah University volleyball staff in 2025 as an Assistant Coach, bringing with her a growing reputation for athlete development, leadership, and a strong understanding of the collegiate game. Prior to arriving in Cedar City, Dodson served as an Assistant Coach at USU Eastern, where she played a key role in developing practice plans, recruiting talent, and analyzing game film to enhance team performance. Her ability to connect with student-athletes and foster a positive, team-first culture has quickly made her a valuable asset on and off the court.
A former collegiate athlete herself, Dodson played three years of college volleyball before transitioning into coaching. She earned her Associate of Science degree from USU Eastern in 2022. Known for her strong communication skills and strategic mindset, she brings a detail-oriented approach to all aspects of the game, from tactical adjustments to team-building initiatives.
Dodson boasts a diverse professional background that reflects her work ethic and commitment to excellence. Her experience in leadership roles beyond athletics—including in education and operations—enhances her perspective as a coach and mentor.
With a passion for empowering young athletes and a deep love for the game, Dodson is excited to help guide the Thunderbird volleyball program to new heights.
