Danielle Jensen was named the Head Volleyball Coach at Southern Utah University in 2025, bringing with her a decade of head coaching success and a reputation as a program builder and student-athlete advocate. Prior to joining SUU, Jensen spent 10 seasons at Utah State University Eastern, where she transformed the program into a national powerhouse. During her tenure, she amassed a 190-88 overall record, guided the Eagles to three NJCAA National Tournament appearances—including back-to-back showings in 2022 and 2024—and consistently maintained a Top 10 national ranking.
In 2024, Jensen led USU Eastern to a 25-8 finish and a seventh-place national ranking, earning Scenic West Conference Coach of the Year honors. Her tenure also included the development of multiple All-Americans and all-conference selections, with many of her players continuing their careers at NCAA Division I and II institutions.
Beyond her coaching duties, Jensen served as Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations at USU Eastern, reflecting her dedication to enhancing the overall student-athlete experience and building strong community ties. A Price, Utah native and proud alumna of Utah State Eastern, Jensen credits her success to a culture rooted in family, hard work, and strategic recruiting—often in partnership with her husband and longtime recruiting coordinator, Calvin Jensen.
Now at the helm of the Thunderbird volleyball program, Jensen is focused on building a culture of energy, pride, and personal growth as Southern Utah transitions into its 2025 WAC campaign.
