Three T-Bird Golfers Named All-American Scholars

CEDAR CITY, Utah, July 1 – Three members of Southern Utah University's women's golf team, Jamie Millard, Kaohi Loo and Nicole Thomas, have earned a spot on the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team, the WGCA announced today.

To qualify for the team student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of the team's scheduled rounds and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher.

Millard, a senior history education major from Peoria, Ariz., earned a position on the team after competing in 10 of the team's 11 events and finishing with an 83.1 stroke average.

Loo, a junior hotel, resort and hospitality management major from Beaverton, Ore., competed in all 11 of the team's events and finished with a stroke average of 79.1.

Thomas, a freshman mathematics major from St. George, Utah, also competed in all 11 events and finished her first season of intercollegiate competition with a stroke average of 80.4.
