Cedar City, Utah - The Thunderbird football team held their 2015 Awards Show on Monday night at the SUU Auditorium where the team and fans celebrated the success of the past season.
The awards were determined by the coaches and several of the awards were voted on by the players.
The team was honored for their accolades off the playing surface as well with 21 players honored for having a 3.5 GPA or better during the 2014-15 Academic year, and 24 were honored for having a GPA between 3.49-3.0.
Players were also honored for their accolades during the season, including Player of the Week selections and All-Conference nominations.
In his closing statements SUU head coach Ed Lamb said he was very thankful for his team, his coaching staff and everyone else that supported the team along the way.
“I want to express how much love and respect I have for each one of you players and everyone in this room and in this community that helped make this a special season,” he said.”
