Thunderbird Softball Announces 2017 Fall Schedule

CEDAR CITY, Utah - The 2017 fall athletic season is officially underway and the Southern Utah University softball team and head coach Tom Gray have announced their fall schedule, which is set to kick off in just over two weeks time.

The Utah-themed schedule will feature four home games and four road games, all taking place in the state of Utah. The Thunderbirds will see their first bit of action on September 16th when they host Snow College for a doubleheader at Kathryn Berg Field. The following week they will host Colorado Northwestern Community College on September 23rd for their final home doubleheader of the fall.

After closing out their final homestand of the fall, the team will make a short trip south to St. George on September 30th for games against the University of Utah and Dixie State. The Thunderbirds will then take the following week off before wrapping up the fall season in Provo, Utah on October 14th with games against Utah Valley and BYU.

The schedule will provide the team with a wide array of competition including two nationally ranked teams in Utah and BYU. This will also be the first taste of collegiate action for the nine new Thunderbirds on the 2017-18 roster.
