OGDEN, Utah -- For the second time this season Thunderbird sophomore Jake Vincent has been named Men's Golfer of the Week by the Big Sky Conference. He was awarded the honor for his performance at the 2018 Bandon Dunes Championship.

This was the fourth Men's Golfer of the Week honor the Thunderbirds have received from the Big Sky this season, as senior Fidel Concepcion has received two as well during the 2017-18 campaign.

In a stacked field of competitors the native of Palm Desert, California finished three rounds in a tie for seventh on the leaderboard by carding a 207 (68, 68, 71). Vincent ended play tied with Clemson's Bryson Nimmer at six-under.  

Vincent's score also set a new career low for three rounds as a Thunderbird.

With just one event separating the Thunderbirds from the Big Sky Conference Championship, SUU will compete at the 2018 Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Whirlwind Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona on April 9-10.
