2018 Big Sky Preseason Outdoor Track and Field Polls Released
CEDAR CITY, Utah  -- The Big Sky Conference has released their polls for this upcoming outdoor track and field season. With tough competition in the conference this season, SUU has been picked in favorable spots on both the men's and women's side.
On the men's side, SUU has been ranked second only behind Northern Arizona University. Due to strong performances both at Big Sky Indoor Championships and NCAA Nationals, the Thunderbirds have not only been one of the best teams in the Big Sky, but in the entire nation.
On the women's side, SUU has been ranked sixth ahead of North Dakota and Idaho. This time around the women have made a huge leap from 11th place last season.
The women's team has made a large leap this year. Last time they competed at the Big Sky Indoor Championships, they finished 11th. This year when the women competed, they moved up to sixth. Much improvement has made and much promise is being seen from these women heading into the indoor season.
