Box Score CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Weber State Wildcats (14-14, 2-1 BSC) topped the Southern Utah Thunderbirds (4-23, 1-2 BSC) 11-0 at Kathryn Berg Field on Saturday to claim a series victory.
The Wildcats scored three runs in the first inning, and added an additional eight in the third putting the Thunderbirds behind the eight ball heading into the bottom of the third.
Unfortunately for SUU, they weren't able to get any type of offensive momentum going and were held scoreless.
The Thunderbirds had five hits in the contest, but with all five players being left on base as they were unable to get on the scoreboard.
Kalei Watkins pitched 2.1 innings for the Thunderbirds, and held WSU scoreless while in the circle.
The Thunderbirds will host a single contest against the Brigham Young University Cougars on Tuesday, March 27 in Cedar City. That game is set to start at 3 p.m. MT.
