CEDAR CITY, Utah – New Thunderbirds softball coach Matt Lisle has announced the team's 2026 fall schedule, giving Southern Utah fans the opportunity to see the team in action as SUU prepares for the upcoming 2027 season.

"Fall is about getting better every day and building the right habits. We have a good mix of opponents on this schedule, and each one will show us where we are and what we need to work on. Our focus is on how we play, not who we play. We're looking forward to competing at Kathryn Berg Field in front of our fans."

The Thunderbirds will play eight games across five dates, including three home matchups. The schedule features matchups against a variety of opponents, including BYU, Utah, Utah Valley, Snow College, Salt Lake Community College and California Intercontinental University.

SUU opens the fall slate Saturday, Oct. 3, hosting Snow College for a doubleheader beginning at noon. The Thunderbirds will then hit the road for a doubleheader at Utah on Sunday, Oct. 11, with the first game scheduled for 1 p.m. in Salt Lake City.

The Thunderbirds return home Monday, Oct. 12, to face California Intercontinental University at 3 p.m. SUU will close out its home schedule Sunday, Oct. 18, against Salt Lake Community College at 3:30 p.m. MT.

The fall schedule wraps up Saturday, Oct. 24, with a doubleheader of sorts along the Wasatch Front. SUU will travel to Orem to face Utah Valley at noon before making the short trip to Provo for a 4 p.m. matchup against BYU.

The fall schedule gives the Thunderbirds a chance to compete against a variety of opponents and keep building toward the 2027 season.
