Box Score SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Southern Utah softball team opened up a three-game series with Sacramento State with a Friday doubleheader in California.
Both games were decided in the seventh or eighth innings on walk-off hits from the home team and the score in both games ended up as 3-2 in favor of the Hornets.

The Hornets took the lead back in the sixth and were about to close out the game in the seventh when Murphy tied things up, hitting a double to left with two outs in the inning.
The Hornets walked it off in the eighth on three straight singles.
Murphy went 3-for-8 on the day with a home run and two RBIs. Samantha Guile struck out a career-high 10 Hornets in 7.1 innings of work in game two.
