RECAP | Competition In California Wraps Up For Thunderbird T&F
CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Thunderbird track and field team finished their performances at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Beach Invitational today. Many athletes had strong performances and will be returning home in SUU records.
At the Bryan Clay Invitational, Sharlie Dimick finished the competition with a time of 4:24.33 in the 1,500-meter. This time places Dimick second in SUU history. She was followed by Maddy Kauffman with a time of 4:33.58.
At the Beach Invitational, Amy Pouliot threw a personal best of 149' 0" in the discus. This mark also ranks her fifth in the Big Sky Conference and eighth in school history.
Ellyn William also competed in the women's discus where she threw a personal best of 131' 3". She later competed in the shot put where she threw another personal best. Williams finished with a mark of 41' 0".
Cannon Brunsvik finished the competition in the discus. Brunsvik had a season best throw with a mark of 157' 0".
