Words From Coach Houle
On closing the day with two gold medals in the 10K…
"When you consider the Big Sky is known for its distance power, and to have our men go first and second for the second-straight season and the women win it shows the strength of the program and projects where we may be to open cross country next fall," SUU head coach Eric Houle said.
On entering the final day second on the men's side…
"So much can happen in these two days, so for us to be one spot higher than we projected means we're going to be in the fight," he said.
On the improvement on the women's side leading to a more impressive showing this season…
"It's a relief to know that the things we're doing are working," he said. "It makes me feel really appreciative of the coaches we have in those areas, that they're doing the same job and we're a team that can be in contention."
