CEDAR CITY, Utah - After a two week stretch of playing on the road, the Southern Utah soccer team will return home this Friday September 14 to host the Wyoming Cowgirls before playing their final non-conference game on Sunday September 16 on the road against Cal Baptist University.

The Thunderbirds played just one match last weekend, falling to the Omaha Mavericks 1-0.
Southern Utah is now 1-6 in non-conference play with their only win coming against UNLV on August 23. During that time the Thunderbirds have only allowed more than three goals to be scored on them twice, keeping opponents to two or less in five games.
Three different Thunderbirds have scored goals on the season including Devri Hartle, MaKenzie Lawrence, and Taylor Harris. Hartle leads the team in points with five total.
Scouting Report: Wyoming Cowgirls (4-1-2)
The Cowgirls of the University of Wyoming will come into Cedar City on Friday with a 4-1-2 overall record on the season. The Thunderbirds are the fourth Big Sky opponent on the Cowgirls' non-conference schedule and they have had a different result in each match with the other three. Wyoming picked up a 2-1 win over Idaho State, lost 4-1 to Northern Colorado, and tied with Montana last weekend 0-0.
The Cowgirls have scored nine goals on the season with eight different players scoring goals on the season. Senior Annika Clayton is the leading scorer with two goals on the season, both coming in their season opening win over South Dakota.
The Thunderbirds traveled to Laramie last season and fell to the Cowgirls 1-3.
Scouting Report: Cal Baptist Lancers (4-1-1)
The Lancers are off to a 4-1-1 start in their first ever season as a Division I program. They picked up their first DI win on August 17 against Loyola Maryland. Since then the Lancers have picked up wins over Antelope Valley, University of Houston, and Jackson State. Their only loss on the season came to UC Davis back on August 24.
Senior Desarae Felix leads the Lancers in scoring in 2018 with three goals and an assist on the season for a total of seven points.
