CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Southern Utah University Thunderbird cross country teams hosted their 2019 home meet where the women took first and the men placed second.
Harley Taylor lead the Thunderbird women with a third place finish timing 14:52.97 in the 6K Quinn Hagerman followed with a time of 15:00.47 placing fifth in the race.Â
Raquel Chavez, Josie Bushar and Samantha Taylor also finished among the top ten.
On the men's side of the team, Aidan Reed was the first to cross the finish line with a time of 18:39.97 in the 6K. Jason Quinn followed in second with a time of 19:01.98.
Also among the top Thunderbirds finishers were Travis Feeny, Kevin Ramos, Jacob Francis and Thomas Grant.
"A race like this is about seeing what the future of the program holds by running our second team," commented head coach Eric Houle. "To see such strong freshman and redshirt athletes is exciting as a coach. Overall it was a great day and a great meet."
