CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Thunderbird men's golf team will wrap up their Fall Season at the 2019 Bill Cullum Invitational, which will be played from October 14-15 at Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley, California.
Last Time Out
The T-Birds were last on the course at the 2019 Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational.
Jake Vincent was the top T-Bird in the field, shooting a six-under 210 (72, 68, 70) over the course of the three rounds. That was good enough for him to finish in a tie for 14th on the leaderboard.
Freshman Tyler Jones was second for the team, shooting a five-under 67 in the final round to finish play at 216 (76, 73, 67).
Ali Hameed finished just one shot behind Jones, shooting a 217 (75, 72, 70). Ryker Smith finished fourth for SUU with a 227 (83, 74, 70). Jaxon Long wrapped up SUU's scoring lineup with a 74 on Tuesday and a 232 (76, 82, 74) for the tournament.
As a team the T-Birds shot a 277 on Tuesday, improving upon their 299 and 287 on Monday. They finished play tied for ninth at 863 (299, 287, 277).
Jaden Milne teed it up as an individual for the Thunderbirds in Colorado, shooting a 237 (80, 78, 79).
Tournament Preview - 2019 Bill Cullum Invitational
This year's edition of the Bill Cullum Invitational at Wood Ranch Golf Club will be a two-day, three round event.
The course plays par-72 and measures in a 5,849 yards.
The event is hosted by Cal State Northridge and named after Bill Cullum, a legendary coach for the program.
Participating Teams: - Cal Poly, CSUN, Grand Canyon, Sacramento State, San Diego, San Diego State, Southern Utah, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, Utah State, Weber State

Team: Jake Vincent, Ali Hameed, Ryker Smith, Tyler Jones and Jaxon Long
Individuals: Ethan Gray, Austin Jaramillo, Jaden Milne and Hayden Plewe

Last season Vincent was the top T-Bird in the field for SUU, shooting a 222 (78, 72, 72) to finish competition in a tie for 45th.
Ali Hameed was second with a 226 (78, 74, 74) to put him in a tie for 62nd.
