MADISON, Wisconsin -- The Southern Utah University Thunderbird cross country teams competed at the Nuttycombe Invitational against powerhouse teams on October 18. The T-Bird men placed 13th while the women placed 28th.
Christian Ricketts lead the Thunderbird men with a 27th place finish timing 24:03.9 in the 8K. Ricketts was followed by Joshua Collins in 43rd with a time of 24:14.2.
Sean Newcomb also had a top T-Bird finish locking in a time of 24:33.7. Newcomb was followed by Nate Osterstock with a time of 24:34.0.
On the women's side of the team, Alison Pray was the first T-Bird to cross the finish line with a time of 20:39.6 in the 6K. This ranked Pray 42nd overall.Â
The junior athlete was followed by Madison Fruchey with a time of 21:18.6 and Haley Tanne with a time of 21:44.8.Â
The Thunderbirds look to compete at the Big Sky Championships on November 2.
