OGDEN, Utah -- Southern Utah track and field athletes Alexis McAllister and Franks Harris III were nominated Big Sky Athlete of the Week after their record breaking performances in California on April, 19.

McAllister competed at the Beach Invitational in the javelin where she broke her own school record in the event with a mark of 151' 0". This is McAllister's second time breaking the school record this season.

This will be the junior athlete's first Big Sky Athlete of the Week award of her collegiate career.

Harris appeared in the high jump at the Bryan Clay Invitational where he also broke an SUU record. The sophomore athlete finished with a jump of 7' 3" tying for seventh in the nation at the time of publication.

This award is Harris' second Big Sky Athlete of the Week award of his collegiate career. Harris has also claimed the Individual Champion in the high jump at the Big Sky Championships twice during his time at SUU.
