CEDAR CITY, Utah - The Southern Utah softball team and head coach Don Don Williams have announced the non-conference portion of their 2021 schedule.
The Thunderbirds will open their season on February 12 at UNLV with five games in three days against the University of Washington, UNLV, and Dixie State. On February 16 the T-Birds will make the short trip down to St. George for a matchup with Dixie State.
The following weekend, Southern Utah will head down to Tucson, Arizona to compete in a tournament hosted by the University of Arizona starting on February 19. They will play games against Seattle University, New Mexico, and the host Wildcats.
On February 26-27 the Thunderbirds will play a three-game series against Utah Valley in St. George with a single game on Friday and a doubleheader on Saturday.
The T-Birds will have the following weekend off before heading back down to St. George on March 12-14 for a tournament hosted by Dixie State. They will be matched up against Utah, Boise State, Weber State, and the host Trailblazers.
Their final tournament of the season will be hosted by Grand Canyon in Phoenix on March 19-21. They will play two games against New Mexico State and three games against the host 'Lopes.
Southern Utah's non-conference schedule will round out with Dixie State on March 23 in Cedar City, Boise State and BYU on March 27 in Provo, BYU again in Provo on April 15, and BYU once more on May 4 in Cedar City.
Big Sky play begins for the Thunderbirds on April 2.
