OGDEN, Utah -- The Thunderbird volleyball team suffered a loss to in-state rival Weber State on Friday evening, as they were swept by the Wildcats 3-0 in Swenson Gym.
The T-Birds are now 2-4 on the year and 2-3 in Big Sky Conference play.
WSU had control in each set. The Wildcats won the opening set 25-13, before eventually falling in the second 25-10. Weber State claimed the third and eventual final set 25-14.
Elisa Lago led the T-Birds in kills with five. Both Stacey Hone and Bridget Triplett both finished with four. Corrin Peterson finished with 17 assists.
For Weber State, Dani Nay finished with 15 kills.
The Wildcats held an 8-0 advantage in terms of blocks, and a 10-3 advantage in service aces.
The Thunderbirds will wrap up their road series against Weber State on Saturday afternoon, as the second round of the back-to-back is set to begin at 4 p.m. MT.
