CEDAR CITY, Utah -- In the most recent Golfstat Rankings (Updated 3/9/21) Southern Utah's Chanikan (Pluem) Yongyuan was given the nod as the No. 1 individual in the NCAA.
After picking up a victory at the GCU Invitational, which was the fourth of her career, Yongyuan has a 71.06 rank of schedule and a 71.06 adjusted scoring average. She's also 3-0 against golfers ranked 26-50.
"To be able to say we have the best golfer in the country right now is something we take a lot of pride in," SUU Director of Golf Richard Church said. "Pluem has done a fantastic job for us, and we're expecting more big things from her for the rest of the season."
Yongyuan will be in action this week at SUU's Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational.
