CEDAR CITY, Utah -- The Thunderbirds will be hosted by Weber State as they set to face off Friday March 26 and Sunday March 28 at Stewart Stadium.
Last Time Out
The first of the two-match series was a close contest as SUU would end up falling short to the Lumberjacks 3-2. Southern Utah would go scoreless in the first half and allowed the Lumberjacks to kick one in the back of the net. Entering the second half the Thunderbirds would score within the first two minutes of the half, on the 47th minute evening the score 1-1.
Northern Arizona would regain the lead in the 62nd minute and again the T-Birds would answer back in the 69th minute, tying the contest 2-2.Â
In the final minutes of the match the Lumberjacks would score off a penalty kick in the 69th minute. The Thunderbirds would just fall short 3-2.Â
"We played strong and hard as a team. We are able to go back and watch films to make corrections" said Hunt.Â
Last outing in the two-match series, Southern Utah was held scoreless against Northern Arizona. The T-Birds being out shot 17-6 only allowing three shots per half.The Thunderbirds would lose the match 3-0.
Kamryn Farro and Rachael Hunt led the team with a combined three shots. Jennifer Kovisto had five saves as the Thunderbirds goalkeeper.Â
Scouting Report: Weber State Wildcats(1-2-1, 0-1-0 BSC)
Northern Arizona hosted the Wildcats in their last match. The Wildcats would fall short 1-0 where they were outshot 11-4.Â
Weber State has not been defeated at home yet this season and the last time SUU beat the Wildcats on their own turf was seven years ago during the 2014 season.Â
Three players have scored the only goals for the Wildcats. Jasmine Lotey, Kinsley Napoli, and Taylor Scadlock all combined for the three goals on the season.Â
Meckell Moss has a team high 11 saves on the season and has not allowed a goal yet this season.Â
Match Day Information
The match kicks off on Friday at 3:30 P.M. and Sunday's match begins at 1:00 P.M. Both matches will be played at Stewart Stadium.Â
