CHANDLER, Ariz. - The Southern Utah men's golf team took 13th place at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic that finished on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds shot a 285 in round three to finish with a three-round total of 864 (290, 289, 285).
Jake Vincent shot a 71 in round three to finish tied for 21st with a 213 (72, 70, 71). Tyler Jones shot a 72 on Tuesday to finish the tournament tied for 39th with a 217 (68, 77, 72).
Atthasit (Anfield) Srichun shot a 69 in round three, finishing the tournament tied for 61st place with a 220 (79, 72, 69). Ali Hameed finished tied for 67th, shooting a 75 in round three for a 222 (72, 75, 75) over the three rounds.
Ryker Smith shot a 73 in the final round to finish tied for 72nd with a 223 (78, 72, 73).
San Diego State won the team title with an 831 (267, 281, 283). Stanford's Barclay Brown won the individual title with a 202 (70, 67, 65). Just five strokes separated 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th, and 13th place.
The Thunderbirds will compete in their final regular season tournament next at the UC Santa Barbara Invitational.
