Jake Vincent Wraps Up Incredible Career at NCAA Regional Championship

CLE ELUM, Wash. - Southern Utah golfer Jake Vincent wrapped up play in the NCAA Regional Championship in Cle Elum, Washington with a final-round two-over 73.

Vincent ended up shooting a three-day total of 223 (74, 76, 73) to finish in a tie for 51st place. The senior hit two more birdies in round three to bring his tournament total to six.

Vincent will finish his career at Southern Utah as one of the most accomplished golfers in program history. He is the only Thunderbird to qualify for the NCAA Regional Championship twice, be named Big Sky Player of the Year twice, and win a Big Sky Individual Championship. When he qualified for the Stanford Regional in 2019, he became just the fourth T-Bird to do so.

Vincent also owns the third-lowest round in program history, a 64 in the first round of the 2019 Stanford Regional, and could end up setting a new Southern Utah record for career stroke average, as he came into his final season just .19 behind former Thunderbird Fidel Concepcion.

He won four tournaments during his time at Southern Utah and also racked up 10 Big Sky Player of the Week awards in his career, tying the conference record held by Concepcion and Sacramento State's Aaron Beverly.

Vincent was a five-time member of the Big Sky All-Conference team, earned First Team honors four times and Third Team honors as a freshman.
