CEDAR CITY, Utah - Phil Steele and draftscout.com released their 2020-21 Spring FCS All-America Teams Thursday and Southern Utah's Braxton Jones and La'akea Kaho'ohanohano-Davis were both named FCS All-Americans by the publication.
Jones was one of five offensive linemen and just four Big Sky players to be named First Team Offense. Jones was an essential part of an offensive line that led the Big Sky in fewest sacks allowed, only allowing five all season. Jones and the offensive line averaged .83 sacks allowed per game, which was the fifth-best mark in the entire FCS.
This is the second All-America honor in Jones' career as he was named to the Sophomore All-America Team by HERO Sports in 2019.
Kaho'ohanohano-Davis was named to the Second Team Defense and was one of just four Big Sky defensive players to be named to a team. The junior led the Big Sky and ranked seventh in the FCS in sacks, averaging 1.20 per game. He also led the Big Sky in solo tackles, averaging 6.2 per game.
This is the third All-America honor for Kaho'ohanohano-Davis as he was also named to the Stats Perform and Associated Press teams.
