Southern Utah Men's Golf checks in at number 7 on the Big Sky Coaches' Preseason Poll. The Thunderbirds polled eight points but sits at the bottom of the preseason rankings.
Sacramento State and Weber State sit atop the Poll with just a one point difference between the first place Hornets and the second place Wildcats. Sacramento State will look to repeat as champions after winning the 2021 Big Sky Tournament.Â
The Men's team last competed on October 19 at the Pepsi Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate meet hosted by New Mexico State University. Three Thunderbirds recorded top-50 finishes as the team finished in 10th place overall. Atthasit (Anfield) Srichun was the top performer for SUU in 30th place with an 11 over par 224.
Southern Utah will host their next competition at the Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational. Competition will take place at the Sunbrook Golf Club in St. George, Utah from February 11 to 13.Â
