TULSA, Okla. - The Southern Utah University men's golf team finished up play at The Clerico, taking 12th place overall while shooting a combined 629 (+61) over 36 holes.

Mitchell Abbott paved the way for Southern Utah, recording a score of 155 over the course of the tournament to tie for 55th overall. Abbott played stellar during the first day, shooting 81 (+10) and was at even-par on nine holes. Abbott improved his game during the second day, recording five birdies and a score of 74 (+3).

Jaxon Long wasn't that far behind, shooting only one stroke below Abbott (156) to finish tied for 58th overall. Long shot well during day one, tallying two birdies and ten even-pars to record a 74 (+3). The second day saw Long score an 82 (+11), shooting at even-par on eight holes.

Atthasit (Anfield) Srichun shot a 158, tying for 62th place. Srichun recorded a 77 (+6) on day one to go along with two birdies. During the second and final day of the tournament Srichun shot an 81 (+10), recording seven even-par holes and a birdie to wrap up his play at The Clerico.

Napat (Pun) Vorrasanpisut finished 64th overall. Vorrasanpisut shot a 79 in round one, followed up by an 81 during round two in which he totaled three birdies.

Rashon Williams shot an 81 in the first round, and an 82 in round two. Williams took 68th overall for the Thunderbirds.

South Alabama took first overall in the tournament, and Luke Kluver of Oklahoma won the individual title.

The Thunderbirds won't hit the golf course again until February 10th, when SUU will host the SUU Pizza Hut/Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational in St. George.
