BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The Southern Utah University women's golf team took 13th overall at The Clash at Boulder Creek after shooting 899 (+35) on 54 holes.
The Thunderbirds improved each day over the three day tournament. Southern Utah recorded totals of 314, 297, before finishing strong by shooting 288 as a team.
Chanikan (Pluem) Yongyuan led the charge for Southern Utah. Yongyuan would finish 29th overall after shooting 220 (+4) over the course of the tournament. The first day saw Yongyuan shoot a 76 (+4), followed up on day two with a 78 (+6). However, Yongyuan saved her best golf for the last day of the tournament, where she shot a 66 (-6), including seven birdies.
Tsara Ralamboarison posted a 76 in her first outing on the golf course. During round two she shot an impressive 71 (-1), including a pair of birdies. Day three saw Ralamboarison shoot a 76, combining for a 223 (+7) over the tournament, good for 43rd place.
Anais Guibal trailed by a single stroke, shooting a 224 (+8) which earned her 48th place overall. Guibal improved each round, shooting a 76, 75, and a 73 to cap off a stellar tournament.Â
Tanyatorn (Excel) Thalangkarn shot an 86 in round one, before improving dramatically to shoot a 73 in both rounds two and three.
Cornelia Karlsson finished fifth in the lineup for SUU, finishing 99th overall after scoring a combined 261 over the three rounds.
Participating as an individual, Grace Singpraseuth carded rounds of 84, 80, and 83 to finish with a score of 247, good for 96th on the leaderboard.

The Thunderbirds will not hit the golf course again until February 13th, where they will compete at the Mountain Classic Matchplay in Palm Desert, California.
