ST GEORGE, Utah - The Pizza Hut-Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational wrapped up play on Sunday with Southern Utah finishing in 12th place with a 39-over-par team score. Jaxon Long and Leo Torres tied at 10-over-par, good for a 57th place finish.
THUNDERBIRD SCORES
Long shot two-under-par on Sunday to finish his weekend at 10-over. Torres repeated his day one success with another two-over-par score to tie his teammate Long.
Tyler Jones entered the day as the top T-Bird performer but shot six-over-par on day three to finish in 60th at +11. Atthasit (Anfield) Srichun followed right behind Jones at +12 to take his share of a 63rd place tie.
Ryker Smith posted his best day of the tournament on Sunday with a two-over-par afternoon to bring his weekend total to +13. Seth Winterton came in one place behind Smith in 68th after a +14 weekend.
Rashon Williams shot one-under-par to finish in 75th place with a +17 total score. Napat (Pun) Vorrasanpisut took a one-over-par afternoon to finish in 76th with an 18-over-par weekend.
Jaden Milne and Donovan Barnes performed their best on Sunday with a +4 and +10 respective scores. Milne finished with a +20 score and Barnes with a +34.
THE FIELD
Middle Tennessee State's Kevin Jegers jumped four spots to win the individual tournament with a 15-under-par weekend. His eight-under-par Day 3 puts his weekend score at 201.
Matthis Besard kept hold of his second place spot with a four-under par Sunday to finish at 12-under-par through the weekend.
Dustin Hasley out of Oral Roberts took third place in the tournament with an 11-under-par weekend.
TEAM SCORES
Middle Tennessee State controlled the competition from day one to finish the tournament in first place with a 38-under-par team score. Oral Roberts remained in second after a 16-under-par weekend.
Southern Illinois jumped two spots on the final day to take third place with an 11-under-par team score.
The Thunderbirds' next competition will take place March 2-4 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, California.
