CEDAR CITY, Utah – The Southern Utah University men's golf team will resume play Wednesday at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, California.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
The Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate is a three-round, 54-hole tournament played over the course of three days with one round per day. The tournament is hosted by the University of Wyoming at the Classic Club in Palm Desert. Par for the course is 72 with a yardage of 7,305.
THE FIELD
In addition to Southern Utah and host Wyoming, competing in the tournament is Boise State, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Charlotte, Colorado, Dixie State, Long Beach State, Nevada, New Mexico State, Northern Colorado, Oral Roberts, Seattle, Texas State, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, UT Arlington and UTSA.
LAST TIME OUT
Southern Utah finished 12th at the Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Invitational after shooting 39 over par as a team. Jaxon Long and Leo Torres were the top individual finishers at the tournament for SUU with identical 57th place finishes.
